John is a Senior Advisor to Evercore Wealth Management and has 38 years experience in managing investment portfolios for high net worth individuals, trusts and corporations.
Prior to joining Evercore Wealth Management, Lilienthal served as a retired senior advisor to several trusts and investment accounts at U.S.Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management.
John started his own investment counseling firm in 1971. He continued to run the firm until it was acquired by U.S. Trust in 1997 and became the San Francisco office of U.S. Trust. After the acquisition and before joining Evercore Wealth Management, John served as a senior advisor to U.S. Trust.
John graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He is a former officer, director and trustee of The Town School for Boys, Schools of the Sacred Heart, Conservatory of Music and the Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco.
