John McDermott has 14 years of investment experience managing balanced portfolios for high net worth individuals, equity accounts for institutional clients and equity mutual funds.
Prior to joining Evercore Wealth Management in 2008, John worked at the U.S. Trust Corporation as Managing Director. During John's tenure at U.S. Trust, his group's assets grew from $80 million to $14 billion. In 2007, Barron's named Mr. McDermott number eight on its list of Top 100 Mutual Fund Managers.
He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts, the CFA Institute and the Economic Club of New York.
